Selective Colour Photography

Saturday 28 September
Wilson Creek Pkwy - 10am - 2 Hours

Selective colour can be done in a couple of ways. You can find a subject with a strong dominant colour, a lady in red for example amongst people wearing drab colours. Or you can use a mode which some cameras have in which you can isolate a particular colour within a scene whilst all other colours are turned to B W. Either way this will be a session which will help us hunt down images and increase ones 'eye' for strong photographs.

Hello, I'm Colby, a lifelong photography enthusiast who discovered the magic of capturing moments at a young age. Growing up amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Maine, particularly in Acadia National Park, I fell in love with the art of photography. To me, photography is the art of capturing light, and I believe that it is the interplay of light, shadows, and color that brings depth and soul to each image. With a deep passion for pushing the boundaries of light and colors, I strive to create visuals that transcend the ordinary and evoke emotions in the viewer.

After pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the University of Maine, I decided to follow my true passion and establish an art studio in the vibrant city of Fort Worth, Texas. From this creative hub, I embark on a journey of visual storytelling, capturing heartfelt portraits and intricate still lifes that celebrate the beauty of everyday objects. I believe that light is the language of photography, and by skillfully manipulating and harnessing light, I aim to create images that are vibrant, dynamic, and filled with life.

I'm still in shock that I got this photo. This was taken in my backyard. I had 3 cameras set up and was going between each one with and without a solar lens filter and Tripod. I think constantly having practice in low light settings with flashing lights helped me to quickly get the settings needed for this shot.It was an incredible experience to see. I am really debating traveling for another totality.

What I love about this photo is how feral it is. Jack is slightly out of focus, moving around, kicking the air, balancing on one foot while falling back, and perfectly strumming out a brilliant tune. This picture exemplifies who he is. He does a little bit of everything everywhere. He writes and produces music for big artist like Taylor Swift, The Chicks, Lorde, and The 1975. He produces major motion picture soundtracks like Minions: The Rise of Gru. All while playing in bands like Fun. and Blea
